Overview
The Deutsche Schule Sankt Petersburg is the official German school at the Consulate-General of Germany in St.Petersburg. Die Deutsche Schule is accredited by the Zentralstelle für das Auslandschulwesen and therefore fully integrated into the German educational sector. This allows the easy transfer of expatriate families with a German speaking background to St. Petersburg and later back to their home countries.
The school which is located on Vasily Island, features a kindergarten (from age 3), a pre-school and seven classes in the main school, which eventually will lead up to the German Abitur.
The Deutsche Schule is a full day operation complete with cafeteria, sleeping area for the small ones, library and other facilities, all included in the school fees. Available are a number of assisted afternoon activities and a schoolbus service (additional fees apply).
The Deutsche Schule welcomes both children of expatriate families of all nationalities and children whose parents are Russian and live permanently in St. Petersburg.
